A continuous task I have at EmpowerLocal is as the Art Director of Cloud 9, a quarterly, national magazine that is owned by Southern Airways Express. As the Art Director, I create the entire layout and design of the magazine every quarter. This includes finding and/or acquiring images for the article, designing all the article pages to tie into the article while still being pleasing to the viewer, creating some of the ads for different clients to add to the magazine, and corresponding with the Chief Editor to make sure deadlines are met and tasks get accomplished.
